One of the most famous attractions on Jeju Island are horses. There not so many grasslands on Korean peninsula, but Jeju Island has enough green grass for horses. There is a diverse array of types, each differently identified depending on their coat color, including Garama, Jeokdama, Yuma, Wollama, Gorama, Chongma, Buruma, Gonggolma, and Geoheulma, in archaic Korean. Jeju horses mature well in harsh conditions due to their strength and fitness.

1100 Highland is located at the highest point of the 1100 Road, which links Jeju City and Jungmun. Hallasan Mountain looks beautiful from this point of view. You can observe a wetland ecosystem when you walk through the 1100 Wetland Trail beside the 1100 Road. It is also a great place to experience Hallasan Mountain's ever-changing weather.
