Korean traditional archery tournament in Yeosu city. The Korean Bow (각궁)
is a water buffalo horn-based composite reflex bow. In this tournament
distance to target was 145 m. It was team competition - seven archers in
each team. At this distance it very difficult to see if arrow hits the
target so special referees on target line raises the flag each time
arrow hit red circle.
In Korean Yeosu means "good water". In addition to its scenic seascape, Yeosu has an archipelago of over
300 picturesque islands surrounding it. The Yeosu City Tour offers
various courses that take visitors to see some of the city’s major
attractions.
